Ada

Recipe by : Vijayalakshmi Murthy

Ingredients :

  1. Dals :
    1. Urad
    2. Tur
    3. Moong
    4. Chana
  2. Rice 1 cup
  3. Green Chillies
  4. Red Chillies
  5. Onion
  6. Vegetable (literally whatever you want) ex, Cabbage, Carrot, Spinach etc.
  7. Salt to taste

Apparatus Required : Grinder

Recipe :

  1. Soak all the dals and rice together for 45 mins approx.
  2. After 45 minutes drain excess water from the dal mixture and grind with the rest of the ingredients till it reaches a coarse yet spreadable consistency.
  3. Take a pan and heat.
  4. Once the pan in nice and warm put the flam on low and spread out some of the batter on the pan.
  5. Put a few drops of oil on the side to avoid sticking.
  6. You can now increase the flame to a medium or high and cook till the ada is crisp on one side . Then flip and crisp the other side.

Enjoy!

NOTE : No fermentation required.
